Many dentists advertise a calm soothing environment.  So a  visit to the dentist has much in common with a visit to a spa or beauty clinic.

Behind the Scenes of a Dental Courier Round

This particular round has about 14 collections and drop-offs. It begins at 8:30 am from our customer’s dental lab in Newcastle NE1. When we arrive we get our first sight of the list of dental practices who require a collection or delivery that day. This means that we don’t know how our route will run until we see the daily list. Secondly, we collect ceramics, implants and other completed dental prescriptions. At this point, we also make a note of the proportion of time-critical deliveries, ie those needed in time for fixed dental appointments.

Next, Connection Express runs a check on the current road and traffic situation. We give close consideration to the movement and density of local traffic. This lets us plan the most efficient route. Dental practice appointment times are also logged and we make arrangements for other couriers to collect individual prescriptions if needed. This is how we can make every effort to ensure that all prescriptions are delivered successfully. Our dental courier and our traffic consultant liaise closely throughout this process. When our courier(s) set off, they always know that they have the full back up and support of the Connection Express team.

All In A Day’s Work

Because our service is totally flexible our customers can ring us at any point. There is a facility to add extra requests throughout. Similarly, we can receive a telephone call midway through the round advising us that a patient is in the chair and the prescription is needed urgently. This is all in a days work for an express same day courier service. Our Couriers are dispatched as and when required. Therefore flexibility is one of the key aspects of our service.

This Dental round is usually completed by 2:30 pm, but we are available 24/7 for all urgent same-day deliveries. We have an open non-automated communication policy. By this, I mean that we are available for live conversation. (We don’t have an app because we love the personal approach and speaking to our customers)! Because of this, we can easily provide up to the minute tracking and estimated times of arrival. Coupled with our bespoke service our courier company can support a happy dentist-patient relationship.
