Our Pathology Courier service lies at the heart of our company. In 1989  we became the 1st courier company in Newcastle to offer a pathology courier service between GPs and NHS labs. During our recent re-branding, we realised just how much this service reflects our company values.

As part of the ongoing audit of our business plan, we took a long hard look at our company values. Connection Express has been trading for 30 years. We wanted to know if our values were still relevant in today’s business environment. Equally, we wanted to know if they still drive us in the same way. Connection Express Couriers is a family run SME. We have built a strong reputation for the quality of our service over 30 years of making express same day deliveries from Newcastle Tyne & Wear. Working predominantly with North East based business and organisations we have always concentrated on the express aspect of delivery. Customers can call a Connection Courier and arrange for items to be collected and delivered at their convenience. The service is totally flexible. We have provided a loyal pathology courier service to local healthcare providers in the region since 1989. On busy days we could collect samples from over 100 GP practices and deliver them to the laboratories around the region. Every day we have Couriers on the roads making urgent deliveries. When our courier arrives he will deliver the package into the hands of a waiting laboratory technician or dedicated person who will then take over responsibility.

Connection Express offers this service 24/7. Deliveries are often made through the night. The couriers never meet the families or staff who care for these children. Once the package is safely delivered their part in the process is over. In these instances, it is considered a privilege to be able to make a valuable contribution towards the incredible the work that goes on behind the scenes in our hospitals. In this circumstance, we don’t actually see the appreciation for the service we provide, it is a perception.
