Our simple delivery method is virtually foolproof. One courier, one collection, one transit and one delivery. We collect and deliver the same day so we have no need for storage or warehousing. We keep the circumstances in which things can go wrong in a very tight reign. We are after all dealing with the specialised sector of the same day delivery market.
So what can we do to make sure that you receive the fastest, most efficient and cost-effective specialist courier delivery for your packages?
Before we can commit to your request we need to know the basics
At the top of the list is your telephone number. If you contact us by email don't forget to include your telephone number. We will respond to all email enquires but things really do go quicker with a phone call. Emails run the risk of ending up in our spam folder and we would really rather have the chance to say hello. Let us know your collection and delivery postcodes. How many packages do you want delivering? What are their weight and measurement? Are there any extra special requirements, such as the need to be transported at a particular temperature, or the need to be kept in a certain position?
It can save time if people are expecting us
Letting the addressee know that we are expected can save precious minutes at the final stage of delivery. We do this our selves whenever possible, but it is always good to check that security knows we are coming. Security is one of our top selling points. With only one courier handling your package, a same-day courier provides one of the most secure delivery methods. We understand the issues around security. However, if the gatehouse or security guard doesn't know we are coming they will not let us pass. This can leave our couriers with an uncomfortable dilemma. Occasionally up to 30 precious minutes have ticked by while issues such as this have been resolved. Again problems of this nature are not insurmountable but they do impact on delivery time.
Be wary of anticipating a Google Maps time frame for your delivery.
Google Maps is very handy we use it a lot ourselves. But there are a couple of pitfalls. If you are planning a long distance courier delivery you can't rely on the estimated journey time. Google Maps can't take into consideration traffic slow spots en route (and if the route is hundreds of miles long there may be one or two). It doesn't know where your courier might hit adverse driving conditions either. Although it generally does quite well, it can't know where road works have sprung up or if sections of the designated route will be closed due to unforeseen circumstances. These problems are part of the challenge we face every day when we take on your same day deliveries. They are not insurmountable but they will impact the Google Map estimated route time. At Connection Same Day Courier once we have collected your consignment we will deliver it directly by the most efficient means possible.
Letting us know about your requirements as soon as possible can help us to secure your most cost-effective delivery method. If we have 12 hours to collect and deliver for you and your delivery address coincides with one of our regular routes there may be savings we could pass on.
